1. Tell us about yourself. What are your interests outside the studio?
I am a bit of a workaholic but my family is my first priority. My husband Tommy and I have two amazing children; both are in college. We spend our extra time following the kids around. In my spare time I enjoy time with friends, reading or listening to audio books.
2. When did you start Pilates?
I started Pilates 1 year ago. After bouncing from one fitness center to another, I wanted something new. I knew if I simply joined another gym, I would settle into the same routine as before and become frustrated. I have a sister that lives in California who swears by Pilates and had been after me for years to try it.
3. What drew you to REV Pilates Gym?
When searching for a studio, REV began popping up on my Facebook page. I did not give REV much thought at first because I don’t normally travel in the direction of the studio. One day I decided to call and the rest is history.
4. What positive changes have you seen since you joined?
My job is very sedentary which causes all sorts of stiffness. Working with the ladies, Pilates has taught me to truly pay attention to my body. My back rarely hurts now and the range of motion in my shoulders continues to improve. I realize to get in shape is a journey not a sprint, especially if I want it to last.
5. What keeps you coming back?
Having a variety of classes makes things interesting and keeps me from doing the same thing over and over. Even if I take the same class, the workout is never the same.
REV is like extended family, everyone cares for each other. I can have the worst day but when I leave the studio, I feel energized. The staff truly cares about each of us and we all support one another. When a familiar face is not there, we notice.
