|1. Tell us about yourself… What are your interests outside the studio?|
I have been a stay-at-home mom for 17 years. I have 3 children and a wonderful husband who I’ve been married to for 20 years. When I’m not at REV, I keep busy volunteering at Trinity Christian School in Fairfax, cheering on my kids in their sports activities, and attending a weekly bible study in McLean.
2. When did you start Pilates?
I attended my first Reformer Pilates almost 10 years ago in Texas. It made me feel like a Cirque du Soleil performer haha!
3. What drew you to REV Pilates Gym?
Brittany was my awesome Pilates instructor at a different gym. She introduced me to the Stability Chair and the Cadillac Reformer. After she left to start REV, I got in touch with her when I wanted to get back to doing Pilates on a regular basis.
4. What positive changes have you seen since you joined?
Since attending REV on a regular basis, I’ve been gaining my flexibility back. Doing Pilates has also helped to heal my shoulder, which I had strained during my training workouts. I lost both weight and body fat through REV’s most recent Paleo challenge, and I was able to fit into my old college cheer uniform for a Homecoming reunion!
5. What keeps you coming back?
I enjoy the challenging but fun exercises on the Pilates equipment, and the people at REV (both instructors and classmates) have made the experience that much better 🙂
