Terri is a quintessential food lover (a blessing and curse!) who loves to make people laugh! She's a Certified Holistic Nutritionist and Food Coach teaching willing amazing people how to fix their cruddy relationship with food and their bodies, ditch the diet cycle for good, and heal and thrive with real food, one deliciously simple meal at a time. She will guide you in your journey toward greater wellness, energy and vibrancy. Her holistic approach means looking at all aspects of health—body, mind and spirit.
Her Food Philosophy: BUILD A PERFECT PLATE TO THRIVE NOT JUST SURVIVE!
She started her nutrition journey to get well after many years of health issues, most recently a battle with thyroid cancer, but also to inspire others to get up off their butts and try something new. Anyone can learn to have healthy nutrition habits. Cooking nutritious food can be simple, fun, delicious, and healing, all at the same time! “I enjoy eating plain chicken and spinach all day… “ said no ever. No one has to feel deprived despite avoiding certain foods for health. Passing along this knowledge has become my life’s goal.
When she's not cooking or thinking about food concoctions, she's usually being active in some way. Her drug of choice is Pilates, but she also enjoys yoga, hiking, biking, and swimming. She was a competitive soccer player for most of her young adult life, competed in triathlons in her 30’s (what fun!), and found pilates in my 40’s (her happy place, besides the beach). She loves spending time with her 4 kids (now young adults themselves!), and 2 dogs. As a family, she has lived overseas in Zimbabwe, Russia, and Paraguay, and traveled extensively. She always love seeing new places and cultures, and of course being inspired by international cuisine and health trends.
She received a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University, and her Certification for Holistic Nutrition from the Washington Institute of Natural Medicine… just a couple decades apart.

Additionally, she is a Crossfit Mobility and Movement Trainer.
With such a versatile background, Evelyn has extensive kinesthetic education and can safely train and challenge any willing body. She strongly believes in the power of Pilates; how it strengthens and stretches the body, safely challenges the muscles while protecting the joints and enables optimal performance in and out of the gym. Each year that she continues vigorous exercise, she feels the greater need for the mindful movement of Pilates and its ability to rebalance and realign the body.
Mandy Waddell is originally from Flushing, Michigan and has a B.A.A. degree in Commercial Recreation & Facility Management from Central Michigan University.
As a stay at home mom, she began doing STOTT Pilates® in 2010. What started as a fun class to do with her friends turned into a desire to see how far she could progress through the STOTT Pilates® repertoire. After experiencing the benefits from regularly attending classes for 5 years, including pre and post natal sessions, she took the matwork and reformer course under the guidance of Judith Amira at The Pilates Studio in Harare, Zimbabwe. She became a STOTT Pilates® certified instructor in 2015. She went from student to teacher and began teaching at The Pilates Studio and at Shivaya Studio in Harare, Zimbabwe before relocating back to Northern Virginia in 2015.
Mandy is so excited to be able to pursue her passion for teaching pilates at REV Pilates Gym. She loves how pilates brings awareness to the mind & body connection and teaches how to move with ease, fluidity and control. She loves that no matter what point you are on your life path, pilates can see where you are and take you to where you want to be.
AJ (Andrea) is a PMA Certified comprehensively trained Pilates instructor, a Health and Wellness coach and a Meditation instructor.
AJ found Pilates when she moved to the DC area with her corporate role as a business development executive in 2003. Growing up she enjoyed playing sports in school and being active outside but would often get bored with a certain type of exercise after a while and move on to something else. That all changed when she found Pilates.
Andrea is a STOTT-trained PILATES® Instructor with course completions in Reformer, Advanced Reformer, Cadillac/Tower, Barrels and Stability Chair. She is completing the full Pilates instructor training repertoire before her certificate examination. She is currently teaching group reformer classes and private sessions and brings energy to those early morning hours.
Personally, Andrea has been practicing Pilates since 2004. She has struggled with weight her entire life and Pilates has been the key to maintaining an impressive 120 lb. weight-loss. Mentally, Pilates has provided her with the energy and clarity to tackle each day with excitement and optimism. Andrea has been with REV since we launched, first as a client and then as an instructor. She finds passion in Pilates and loves to share that passion with others.
She is a vibrant instructor who enjoys challenging her clients. Please inquire about working with Andrea; you will be sure to have fun AND get a great workout!

Susan is your typical working mom who leans in. Having struggled with her weight her whole life, including extreme obesity, Susan empathizes with those who suffer the mental anguish and sense of defeat caused by excess weight. She understands the nature of compulsive overeating, poor nutritional choices, and the resulting lack of energy which leads to a sedentary lifestyle. She got serious about her health and fitness when she had a daughter and wanted to be a better food and exercise role model for her child.
Susan found Pilates through REV Pilates Gym and fell in love with the gentle but highly effective total body toning. She found that improving her core, created improved mobility and enabled her to get in better shape to tackle other forms of exercise that she also enjoys, such as walking, TRX, cross fit circuit training, body pump, and even dance cardio! Susan decided to go through Stott Pilates training because she wants to help others permanently break the obesity cycle and become the best version of themselves - for good. Today, Susan is able to maintain her weight and live an active lifestyle by making her daily fitness regimen a top priority. Everyone in her family has not only benefited from her improved mood and vitality, they too have taken a healthier path and focus on healthy eating and exercise as an essential part of their daily self care.

Nazila discovered yoga over 20 years ago and it was at that time she realized just how well yoga complimented her daily practices. She started practicing ashtanga over 10 years ago and little by little, step by step, Nazila grew to understand the benefits of practicing yoga daily. As she grew in her practice, she learned the mental and physical benefits that it offers, and as a result decided to become a yoga instructor to provide others with the same gifts she has received from yoga.
To Nazila, the best thing about yoga is that there is no age limit or physical qualification. You can start at any age or condition and grow into your practice. For her, the most important part of yoga is the mental power that is gained through practicing -- yoga makes you a stronger person mentally and physically.
Nazila believe in checking alignment in my students and showing them the proper way to do each asana (pose) and also teach them to use their breath to guide their practice. Her hope for everyone is that the beauty of yoga manifests in their daily life.
Nazila would be delighted to be part of your journey.
